Shelf Bras & Open Cup Bras
A shelf bra supports entirely from below. The cup stops under the bust, so the band and underwire do all the work, which is why fit matters more here than in almost any other style.

For support, Axami is the one to know: made in Poland, underwired, and sized like a real bra rather than a costume, in bands 32 to 42 with cups up to a G in select styles. Escante, Coquette and Fantasy Lingerie styles are lighter and less expensive. They give less support than Axami and suit a special occasion or a first try of the style.
