    Babydolls

    A babydoll is short lingerie with a fitted bust and a skirt that falls loose from just under it. Within that, the fit varies a lot by style:

    • Empire waist: the seam sits right under the bust and the skirt falls straight from there, skimming over the waist and hips.
    • A-line: flares out gradually from the bust to the hem for a fuller skirt.
    • Flyaway: opens at the center front below the bust, so the skirt parts to show the panty.
    • Fitted: follows the body closely instead of flaring out.
    • Length: from short shorty styles to longer babydoll dresses and gowns.

    Cups range from underwire and padded cups that give shape, to soft cups, to open cup styles. Many come with a matching thong or G-string, named in the product title.
